Rustic Railway Hut

The railway hut is a basic but cozy single-room set up to create a warm, welcoming space for two people. Old but new, it mixes old fashioned country life with modern conveniences.

There is a comfy queen bed, sitting area and dedicated workspace with a view over the valley to the railway line. The kitchenette has a hot plate, fridge, oven and vintage crockery.

Outside you’re tucked away in a sheltered valley with a verandah for sitting and watching the birds during the day, and a fire pit and BBQ for relaxing at night. On clear nights the night sky is spectacular as we are part of the new Dark Sky Reserve area. You have access to the river and nearby blackberry patch (ripe in late summer)

The bathroom is next door with a composting toilet, as well as a shower and rustic dressing room.

Dogs welcome! They can roam 5 acres of dog-safe land or explore the 60-hectare farm on-leash. The valley is fully fenced, so your dog can roam freely.

There is one other unit on the property, about 100m away from the Railway Hut.

We rarely book them both at the same time, and will only accept one dog booking at any time to make sure everyone enjoys their stay.
